Today's photos.

Today I took the 'school photos' at my kids' school. It was fun, and arduous at the same time. I can't post any photos I took here, as I'm a little wary of posting photos of other people's children on the web...

I have to process all the photos, and clean and crop them, so I'll be at it for a while.

I took a whole stack of photos last weekend at Roma St Parklands in Brisbane,
I particularly liked this one, with the apartments along the side of the parklands.

Boundless shots

Yesterday I signed up with 'Boundless Galleries" to market my work.

I've now got a WEBSITE which has my work in it, and an ARTIST PROFILE .

I don't *really* think I'll sell lots of prints, but it'll be interesting to see if I sell any.

I've also registered a url, www.raw-imagery.com , so I'm working on getting a website up and running properly. Should be fun.

This photo is of Evans Head Beach, we spent a week here over the last holidays.

O'reillys

We went to O'Reillys today, had a great day. It's a magical place, well worth the visit.

My mission for the day was to get some Bird photos.

There was a section of the place where you could feed the birds, and hence the birds are fairly tame. Still wild birds, but not so afraid of humans. Makes it a little easier to take these shots, as the birds sat stiller than they may have otherwise.

This is one of the Crimson Rosellas in the Lamington National Park.

This is a male King parrot.

I did want a photo of a Regent Bower Bird in flight, and got quite a few, none of which were overly sharp.

Seems I'll need more practice :D

Magazines and Clubs

I bought a magazine the other week, Australian Photography, and it was fantastic.

Looking into it a little further, it seems this is affiliated with the Australian Photographic Society, which I've been interested in joining. Seems, for $77 I can get a year's subscription to AP Mag, or, for $80 I can have a years Membership to the Society which INCLUDES the subscription to AP Mag!!! Seems a win all round!

I'm looking forward to joining the society, especially joining their Nature division, where I'll be able to discuss nature photography with other togs! Aparrently you get allocated into a small (~10 ppl) group for discussions and critiques. Also, they have comps, etc. It sounds well organised and fantastic.

Here's a photo I took a few weeks ago. It was near Bellingen (Inland from Coffs Harbour). The sky looked like it was on fire, so I had to stop the car and take shots.

Raw Imagery

Welcome to my photography blog.

I'm a mad keen photographer living on the QLD/NSW border. Currently I live in Brisbane, but will be moving to a farm in Northern NSW next year.

This blog is a journal of my photography.

All images are copyright to me. Please don't use them without permission. They are digitally encoded. :D
